I have lived my entire life in Bodega Bay. Although I enjoyed my time as a real estate broker here in town, my true love is with cooking. I can't think of anything better than waking up and doing what you love.

My family owns Compass Rose Gardens, where I have spent a significant part of my life catering events. My passion is cooking and I just adore working with the public. I am in the process of going through the steps to open The Birds Cafe across from Pelican Plaza, overlooking the bay.

Meanwhile I wanted to start providing a service that family, friends, and locals have told me is much needed in our community - fresh home cooked meal delivery.

My mother has recently passed away, and I quickly realized how my dad didn't really care about preparing his own meals. He seemed to settle on a sandwich or something equally as easy for most of his meals. Soon, I found myself delivering meals to him almost nightly. He loves it! He reheats the meal when he is ready for his dinner, and it provides some convenience, balance and nutrition for him. His need to grocery shop and make trips to town were cut down significantly, and most of all, he was surviving on more than just a cold sandwich!

While working on getting my doors open to the cafe, in the interim, these meals will be prepared in a rented, fully equipped commercial kitchen under my catering license from Sonoma County.

I am very service oriented and I welcome your feedback in all areas of my business. Along with the quality of meals, are there other needs? Breakfast? Lunch?
